Love the Music’s Vinyl of the Day: the funky and fun Kool & the Gang, Wild and Peaceful (DEP-2013, 1973). Wild & Peaceful will give your day a lift and wastes no time getting into funk with the opening track “Funky Stuff”, then of course “More Funky Stuff” (track 2), and there is no let down with “Jungle Boogie”. A classic ’70s funk album with brass and heavy bass layered throughout Wild and Peaceful has some great soul tracks as well: “Heaven at Once” and the title track “Wild and Peaceful”, my favorite song of this album.
